Your host, hunting partner and new friend…

I suspect that you found my site because, like me, you long for adventure.  And if that’s the case then you came to the right place.  You see I was blessed at a very young age to be introduced to hunting and fishing and the outdoors.   My outdoor pursuits have taken me to some of the most amazing places on the planet.  Places one would not go if they were not a hunter.  And as a result I have found the adventure in life, and in everything I do.

But it didn’t start out that way…

For many years I was surrounded by friends who talked the talk but didn’t walk the walk.  We would start to plan a hunting trip and eventually they would back out.  Whether it was due to lack of funds, lack of ambition, or lack of the right support network in their life, I always found myself cancelling trips due to friends backing out.  Finally, in a sense of frustration I booked my first hunting adventure…  BY MYSELF.  On that trip I met several new friends that I stayed in contact with for many years and from then on everything in my life changed.  I began booking three trips a year.  One in the spring and two in the fall.  It caused me to see life from a whole new point of view.  Through binoculars, rifle scopes, range finders, and down the barrel of a shotgun.

And that’s why I created the DEN OF ADVENTURE.  To offer fellow hunters a free trustworthy friend to help arrange their next adventure.  I have personally hunted with every outfitter that I recommend, and I like all of them.  If I don’t like them it doesn’t matter what the hunt is like, I won’t book with them.  It is a vacation and the people you experience play a big part in how that adventure unfolds.  Whether you are traveling to hunt by yourself or with a group of friends be assured that all of our outfitters have been thoroughly vetted.  You will not be “burned” on one of these hunts.  You will get what you pay for.

I personally host the “hosted hunts.”  I will help you understand what to pack and what to expect.  Some of the hunts I recommend are lower budget for the cost conscious, some frankly are not.  But all our hunts offer adventure at what I believe is a fair price for what is provided.  None of them guarantee a trophy animal, but they all provide an opportunity to challenge yourself and the potential to have an adventure that you will never forget.

I do not consider myself solely a “booking agent” most booking agents never actually travel to the places that they are recommending.  I consider myself to be your trusted hunting partner.  Someone who has actually been there and done it.  No place is this more obvious then in our youth hunt section.  When you review our youth hunts you will see pictures of my kids and some of the game that they have taken, and I can help advise you in how to help your kids prepare, and how to be successful.
